It isn’t always possible to place a bookshelf or a cabinet, which takes up floor space when you have a small living space. So what are your other options? Well you could add a wall mounted shelf to house all your wonderful decorations. Decor8 Hong Kong furniture presents the Merrimack Industrial Wall Shelf, which is excellent for displaying your favorite items.

If you have other industrial style furniture pieces in the room then this shelf will go nicely with the rest of your decor. The Merrimack Industrial Wall Shelf has a frame that is made from painted wrought iron, which gives off a rustic look that has gone through time. The wooden panels are reclaimed solid wood boards. The tubular wrought iron connects with minimal thin bent metal to support the three solid wood boards.

So what exactly can you store on this shelf? We wouldn’t recommend putting too many heavy items on this shelf since more weight adds more stress to the connections holding the shelf to the wall. It’s a great place to place some small accent items. If you are a collector of some sort then you can arrange your collection on the shelves to show them off to your guests. I personally collect figurines, which I found to look quite eye catching when setting them with poses on the shelf.

If you really want to showcase the items on the shelves, you could add some spotlights with lights directly pointing at the shelf. There are a few options which you can do this either by adding wall lamps, a small table lamp on the shelf, or even a floor lamp pointing at the shelf.

If you have the shelf close to a doorway, desk, or some where you pass by a lot then why not add a table clock on it. This way you can tell what time it is when you look towards the shelf. For our great ideas have a look at our Decor8 furniture collection to get some inspirations.
